Who we are
Mannvasanai was founded by Thilakrajan and his wife Menaka to provide healthy, traditional food for their children. Based in Chennai, they quit their careers to revive ancient rice varieties. Today, the store offers organic pulses, millets, cold-pressed oils, and eco-friendly products to restore natural balance to modern life.
Our Vission
Thilakrajan dreamt of restoring 150,000 forgotten rice varieties that were once staples of Indian agriculture. His vision was to make these nutritious, eco-friendly grains accessible and affordable for everyone. He sought to protect the environment and improve community health for generations.
Our Mission
Mannvasanai's mission is to foster harmony through healthy food and sustainable practices. We source the best organic products directly from local producers. Since Thilak’s passing, Menaka has carried this legacy forward, recently earning an 'Assist World Record' for cooking 100 varieties of organic rice in a single day.
